Greasemonkey and Problems When Installing

Greasemonkey is an add-on for Mozilla Firefox which allows you to add scripts (usually referred to as "user scripts", written in Javascript) in order to get the look or add browser functionality on a web page. After installing and restarting Firefox, Greasemonkey can be accessed via the menu Tools - Greasemonkey or through the monkey icon in the status bar.

I experienced problems when installed on this computer when the installation is finished, and Firefox is restarted, Greasemonkey menu is available, but when it will add a new script does not happen any reaction when clicking the [Insatll]. Trying to see the Error Console (Tools - Error Console), there are messages like this

Error: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND) [nsIChannel.open]” nsresult: “0×80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND)” location: “JS frame :: chrome://greasemonkey/content/utils.js :: getContents :: line 167″ data: no]

Fortunately, these problems are addressed in the new Greasespot few days into the new home for Greasemonkey. Solution:
Create a new directory "gm_scripts" in the Firefox profile folder (Documents and Settings \ [User Windows] \ Application Data \ Mozilla \ Firefox \ Profiles \ kodeprofil.default)
In the gm_scripts new folder created, create a blank file and name the config.xml.

After that, Greasemonkey can install a new script.

To get scripts that can be used, please visit userscripts.org which provides thousands of scripts for various purposes. If you want to know more about Greasemonkey like making their own scripts, diveintogreasemonkey.org Greasespot recommend.
