Hide files / folders with Folder Hidden WinMend

Previously been discussed on the program to hide files and folders with Hide Folders. We have a free program (freeware) others who have similar capabilities, called WinMend Hidden Folders.


Warning: Always remember your password when you use this kind of software. Because if you forget the password, may be difficult to access the data again.
Hidden Folders WindMend programs are free / freeware that can hide files and folders quickly both in the local partition or on removable drives such as Flash disks, and other External Hardisk.

Files / folders that are hidden will remain hidden even if the data accessed from other computers or from other operating systems in both the computer or from another computer. To access the data necessary to program the correct password.

Use WindMend Hidden Folders

Use of this program is relatively easy, after the download and install as usual. When finished, then at the start screen appears aka dialog to enter a password (6-15 characters long), which will be used to hide / open the data. Enter the password 2 times.

After that we will go to the main page view, which we then can add files / folders to be hidden. Deleting an existing list and change the old password.

Hidden Folders WinMend Weakness (Please watch out)

Previously, I would recommend this program given the ability to hide data on removable drives, such as USB Flash. But after I tried, tested and analyzed, there was one weakness that I see.

Indeed files / folders become invisible, but I see the file / folder is hidden folder named Recycled. When we open this folder we will not see its contents. But if it is in the Delete folder or deleted, can be a disaster. Recycled folder of its own is not deleted, but the content will be deleted, so that our data is in hiding will not be accessible (also deleted).

It also includes when we hide data on your hard drive. Actual data seems to be moved / stored in the RECYCLER folder, so when someone delete this folder, the data will be lost. Seeing this, if you still need this kind of software is better to use Hide Folders.
